Ruth Pennybacker Papers
The Ruth Pennybacker Collection consists of the teaching aids she used in class, photocopies of plays, news clippings, and programs.The materials in the collection date from 1967 to 1981 with a bulk dating from the 1970s. Included in the collection is a scrapbook crafted in 1967 by her students, colleagues, and friends as a tribute to Ruth Pennybacker, as well as items relating to the Play Reader Groups, news clippings, correspondence, and plays used as part of the classroom curriculum.

The collection primarily contains announcements, scholarly journal articles, newsletters, and newspaper clippings, the majority pertaining to Dr. Stead's academic contributions as well as her efforts to establish FHPW and GHBER. The Professor Joseph S. Werlin Papers contain newspaper and magazine articles relating to international issues of interest to Dr. Werlin. Topics include politics, racism, nationalism, agriculture, and birth control, among many others. Most of the materials date from the 1940s and 1950s. There is also a limited amount of personal material, including correspondence and photographs, in the collection.
