Biographical Note
Fredell Lack was a professional violinist, concert soloist, recording artist, chamber musician, and teacher. She was the C. W. Moores Distinguished Professor of Violin at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Her long career as a musician evolved into a long career as an educator. She was a founding faculty member of the University of Houston’s school of music in 1959 and taught there for more than 50 years.

This collection contains material from the music career of Fredell Lack dating from 1899 to 2018 with undated material as well. The Professor Fredell Lack Papers contains notations, magazines, and university flyers that document her career as a violist and professor at UH.
