Biography

Janet Kutner (1937- ) is a Dallas based painter and art critic who was born in 1937 in Dallas, TX. Janet studied at Stanford University and at the Southern Methodist University.

From 1959 to 1961, she was an Assistant Director at the Dallas Museum of Contemporary Art.

Member of several associations such as: The American Association Museums, Dallas Museum of Art, International Council Museums and Art Table.

Kutner is an acclaimed art critic who worked for the Dallas Morning News for over forty years and a correspondent of ART news magazine. She received the Dallas Press Club Critics Award in 1997.
