Biography

Jana Vander Lee (1945- )was born in Lansing, IL. She studied at Calvin College in Grand Rapids MI, but started her career in Houston,TX where she introduced "fiber art" to the art scene.

She stood out as a writer, artist, educator and curator. Her most productive decades were the 70's and 80's. Jana exhibited her works in the most renowned Galleries and Museums in Houston, such as: Diverse Works, Museum of East Texas, Lawndale Arts Center, Blaffer Gallery. Vander Lee had a solo exhibition at Inman Gallery Houston, Tx last year (2019) named "Again and again".
