This series traces the preparatory stages for three of Lowry's published novels, with a different sub-series devoted to each book. The material related to a single work may include outlines, original and copyedited typescripts, page layouts, galley proofs, and other formats. Materials are arranged in order of production, beginning with outlines and ending with galley proofs.
