This series includes original, and copies of typescript letters written by Donald Barthelme to his family during his army service in Korea, to Helen Barthelme during and after their marriage, and to friends and family. The series also includes letters to Donald Barthelme from friends, postcards, telegrams, and other miscellaneous items. Some letters included are outside the chronological scope of the early years of Donald Barthelme's life.
