Barbara Eaves' Bankers' Hours Working Files, 1989-1991

 File — Box: 5, Folder: 12-14
From the Series: This series contains material pertaining to both Texas Commerce Bancshares, Inc. and Chemical New York Corporation, the two banks that merged in 1987. The first sub-series contains publications for both banks. Barbara Eaves was editor of the three Bankers' Hours publications, and her working files contain information she used in producing the newsletters. The second sub-series, Subject Files, mainly concerns the two major events of 1987, the merger of TCB and Chemical, and the implementation of branch banking. Folders for both branch banking and merger contain memos, notes, and photographs. They also include the publication Bankers' Hours Extra. These have been kept with the subject files, rather than moved to the Publications sub-series, in order to maintain the original order and because these issues specifically contain information concerning the two major events of 1987. The Service Directory was removed from its three-ring binder for preservation. The bound Bankers' Hours have been cataloged.
