Perales was an active author and speechwriter, contributing essays, newspaper articles and offering radio and public speeches in support of civil rights and other political issues. His essays were compiled in a published book entitled En defensa de mi raza. (In defense of my race) and the manuscript is included in this series. Also of note are numerous other essays authored by Perales, along with transcripts of his radio addresses and speeches, and copies of the manuscripts for his speeches. It is organized alphabetically by title.
