The largest concentration in Kaplan's collection is devoted to Opera. The bulk of this series consists of autographed memorabilia, posters, articles, and performances related to Houston Grand Opera. Smaller subseries include fliers, scripts, programs, and schedules for Houston Grand Opera and other Texas and national opera companies. There are several folders with 35mm slides from Houston Grand Opera rehearsals and performances.
