Curriculum and Course Planning, 1992-2004

 Series
From the Collection:

The processed portion of the collection includes information about the history of the African American Studies Department, the First Annual Wilson Whitley Golf Tournament, fellowship programs, and study abroad programs. Materials in the processed portion include annual reports, brochures, catalogs, development plans, grant proposals, and reports to the community, dated 1990 to 2004 with one item, a Tribute to Lynn Eusan, from 1971. The processed portion arrived at the archives in relatively good order, which has been maintained where possible.

Two transfers of an additional 10 linear feet have since been added (in 2016 and 2023) but are not yet processed. The 2023 accession covers the years from 1990 to 2018 (bulk 2000s & 2010s). It is rich in video documentation of lectures and events from the African American Studies Department and contains office files, awards, photographs, programs, UJIMA newsletters, and department reports. Please contact curator Mary Manning ([email protected]) with questions about access to the unprocessed materials.
