This series documents Gladys Ewing's social engagements in Houston, Texas in the fall of 1911 during the Annual No-Tsu-Oh Festival and the spring of 1912 during the Mardi Gras season. Additional albums kept by Miss Ewing document her social life and attendance while a student at the Finch School for young ladies in New York City from 1909-1911. Her bridal gift registry from 1917 is included, as well as personal journals and scrapbooks. Finally, photographs of Gladys throughout her life finish off the series.
