This series contains eighty-five folders that relate to the Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Higher Education Coordinating Act of 1965 provided that the Coordinating Board shall “review periodically all degree and certificate programs offered by institutions of higher education….” (Section 10, Paragraph [5]). The materials in this series are extensive in nature consisting primarily of meeting minutes and date from 1967-1976. The series is divided into two sub-series, Active and Inactive, based on the order received.
