This series is the largest in the collection, consisting of forty-five boxes of materials concerning all of Allred’s political activities. Materials date from 1926 to 1958 and consist primarily of letters sent and received as well as other materials relating to various political activities and campaigns. These materials relate almost exclusively to the campaigns for the various offices, not to the time spent in those offices. Those materials can be found in their own series in other parts of the collection.

This series is divided chronologically into nine sub-series, six of which concern Allred’s major political campaigns and three of which relate to more general state and national political matters. The sub-series are: 1) Attorney General Campaign, 1926; 2) Attorney General Campaign, 1930; 3) General Political, 1931-1934; 4) Attorney General Campaign, 1932; 5) Governor, 1934; 6) Governor, 1936; 7) Miscellaneous Political Activity, 1937-1938; 8) United States Senate Campaign, 1942; and 9) Miscellaneous Political Activity.
