3507 – Pan American University Learning Resource Center, 1975

 File — Multiple Containers
From the Series:

Architectural drawings in this series are the working drawings used for construction for the year 1950-1991. Arranged chronologically by the firm’s project numbers, they are large, oversized items and are stored flat in drawers. When Bentsen retired in 1991, he gave the original drawings (pencil or ink on vellum tracing paper) to KBA’s clients. He retained paper prints for his files. For some projects there are no drawings, although those projects may have records in other categories such as photographs or microfilm. The firm did not keep conceptual sketches or preliminary drawings, nor did it keep models. Working drawings for several projects are too large for drawers and are stored in rolled form. The Permanent Index – Jobs File in Box 80 shows that the firm destroyed the architectural drawings for many of the older projects in April 1976.
