Summary: Kurtis Jones [KT] is a hurricane Katrina survivor from New Orleans, Louisiana [ N.O.]. His interview begins with a brief description of his community and the activities of the neighborhood. He then goes on to tell what he first felt when hearing of the hurricane in the gulf. From their on he gives a very detailed description of what happened when the storm hit. From when it was only a little wind and rain to the height of the storm. Having to steal boats and walk for hours in the nasty water. He tells what the community looked like after the storm up until they were finally able to get out of N.O.
