Thomas, Edwin, 2006
Summary: Edwin Thomas [ET] is a hurricane Katrina survivor who is originally from Guatemala and then later came to the Unites States and made New Orleans [N.O.] his home. He describes being at the Convention Center and then tells about growing up in Guatemala. He goes on to tell about his community in the 6th ward, and how his community was a nice place with good people. He then goes on to tell what kind of work he did in Louisiana. ET then talks about when Hurricane Katrina hit and leaving his house before the levy’s broke. From there he describes the conditions of the Convention Center and finally getting out of [N.O.] by bus. He was sent to Corpus Kristy before coming to Houston and making this his home.
