Breland, Sam, 2006
Summary: Sam Breland is a Hurricane Katrina survivor from Atlanta, GA, who had been living on the Gulf Coast off and on. He finally settled in MS while in college. He started out in Gulfport, MS and later moved to Bay. St. Louis [B.S.L.]. From there he goes on to describe what Bay St. Louis was like from his prospective as a black man who wasn’t from there, to what happened during and after the hurricane up to the move to Houston.
