He gives details about his age and grade in school and then goes on to give some background on his community. How their was hardly any violence. William tells which traditions were of interest to him as a teenager. From there he goes on to talk about what happened when the hurricane hit, and what his family experienced up until leaving for Houston after 2 weeks.
