Summary

Deja Riley [DR], age 20, is a Hurricane Katrina evacuee from New Orleans, LA Seventh Ward. DR moved to New Orleans East when she was 10 years old. DR attended Abramson Senior High School in New Orleans East. DR did not evacuate from the city for Hurricane Katrina but rather she went to a hospital in Uptown where she had an experience of a lifetime. DR was trapped in the city for 9 days with her family and young daughter. DR now resides in Houston, TX and has no further plans on returning back to New Orleans to live.
