Summary

Alexis Decuir [AD], age 20, is a Hurricane Katrina Survivor from New Orleans Ninth Ward. AD came from a large family and describes life growing up as hard because her mother and father had to struggle to take care of her. AD attended Abramson Highs School and a cosmetology school in New Orleans. AD evacuated to Houston, Texas with her family where she now resides. During the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina AD struggled for almost a month searching for her mother. AD hopes that New Orleans will soon comes back together so she can move back to be near family and friends.
