Summary
Travis McGowan [TM], age 20, is Hurricane Katrina Survivor from the Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans, LA. TM grew up in Eastern New Orleans and attended Sarah T. Reed high school. TM evacuated to Gibson, LA for the hurricane but later moved to Houston, TX, where there was more help. TM experienced many different obstacles during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina such as losing his grandmother and going away to the Military after the storm only to be sent back home. TM now lives in Houston, TX and is hoping New Orleans people pull back together and everyone goes home to make New Orleans a better city.
