Additional Description

Summary

Glen was born in New Orleans during a hurricane, and he lived most of his life in New Orleans prior to hurricane Katrina. Glen also obtained a Masters Degree in Sociology from Tulane University. Glen worked in real estate prior to opening his antique and imported furniture shop in New Orleans, which he owned and operated for more than 35 years.. At the time of hurricane Katrina, Glen had a house in Waveland, Mississippi and was renting an apartment in New Orleans on Magazine Street, near his store. He also shared an art studio in Gretna, which collapsed due to Katrina. His son and a friend lived in the Waveland house, which was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. After an emotional search, Glen found out that his son was not in the house when the hurricane hit. After Katrina, his store started selling cheaper furniture because furniture was in demand in New Orleans. Glen and his friend Michael evacuated to Houston and relied on new and old friends after the storm. Glen and Michael like Houston and the West University area of Houston in which they live.
