Summary
Dione Morgan [DM], age 27, was born and raised in New Orleans [NO]. She lived her entire life in NO with the exception of going away to college for 5 years, to attend The University of Minnesota. DM was a high school English teacher at Light City Christian Academy in the Lower Ninth Ward. DM recalls the Saturday before Katrina as she travels with her mother who was a driver for Martin’s transportation service. DM talks about evacuating to Pine Grove, Louisiana, visiting Chicago after Katrina and her new community in Houston.
