Additional Description

Summary

James O. Brumfield III [JB], age 20, is a former resident of New Orleans East, New Orleans [NO], LA, now living in Houston because of Katrina. JB’s interview begins with some details of his familial structure, and his experiences with his immediate surroundings and the bearings it had on his education. JB also reminisced on his relationship with the Field Interviewer. However, the actual interview focused a lot on JB’s sentiments to the African American community from which he belongs, and how those views has shaped the way he sees himself. He gives a long account of his experiences evacuating NO. Finally, he describes in great length his experiences in Houston, TX.
