Additional Description
Summary
Chantell Jones [CJ], age 21, is a Katrina survivor from the New Orleans East neighborhood, New Orleans, LA. The interview opens with Chantell describing her best days in New Orleans [NO] and what would be a typical day for her. She reflects on her memories from middle and high school. CJ then moves into story telling mode. Majority of CJ’s story is that of her experiences in NO; CJ did not evacuate; therefore, that is a bulk of her IV. After telling the story of her non-evacuation, she then goes on to tell of her experiences in Houston.
