Additional Description

Summary

Dominique Green [DG] is a survivor of hurricane Katrina. She was a student at Xavier University of New Orleans. His interview begins with a very limited description of New Orleans. She then explains her decision to stay for the hurricane and where she and the other students waited out the storm. Then DG describes being rescued from the dorm and left on the overpass with the local survivors who resented the students. Later, she revisits her description of New Orleans and why she misses the city and its unique culture. She explains how difficult it is for her to be in Houston this semester after all of her friends have returned to Xavier.
