Summary
Charles Spooner [CS] is an survivor of hurricane Katrina from New Orleans East, a suburb of New Orleans on the other side of the canal from the Lower 9th Ward. His interview begins with a very limted description of New Orleans East, which he revisits in more detail later in the interview. He then describes his family’s decision first to stya for the storm and then their decision to evacuate. Hen describes his difficulties getting his life back on track here in Houston and tells me how he really misses New Orleans and wants to have his pre-hurricane ways of life back. He alsoo tells of his difficulties at the University of Houston.
