Summary
Adedayo Oguniyi [AO] is an evacuee of hurricane Katrina from Mandeville, Louisiana, a small town on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, considered to be a suburb of New Orleans. Her interview begins with a short description of Mandeville and quickly goes into a description of her evacuation process. She feels more connected to Nigeria, her first home, than to New Orleans and finds Houston appealing because of her connections with other Nigerians that she has made since her arrival at University of Houston.
