Additional Description
Summary
Maritza Suazo is a survivor from Katrina. She is from Honduras and came to New Orleans in 1987 and has been living there since. She starts by telling about her neighborhood in New Orleans, then, she gives us some details about her culture which is the Garifuna culture; and she continues with a description of some typical foods that the Garifunas have. MS says how much she did not want to leave her house when the hurricane came and says how grateful she is for listening to her sister when it was time to evacuate. Finally, she says how grateful she is with the city of Houston for not letting her suffer.
