Marilyn Dolmo was born in Bronx, N.Y. She moved to New Orleans when she was eleven years old with her parents. Her father had found him a better job in New Orleans, so that’s why they decided to move to N.O. she says that she forced her self to like N.O. because at the beginning it was not the city she wanted to be in. she lived in St. Bernard Parish east of N.O. along with her husband and three daughters. She tells us how hard it was for her to she evacuated especially when the sun shine came out. Marilyn’s baby was just three months old and the car they evacuated in was not big enough for her, her mother and sister plus her three kids.
