Summary
Brandon Green [BG], age 16, a Hurricane Katrina survivor, was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana is a hurricane Katrina survivor. His interview begins with some brief details about his early childhood. BG discusses in detail events he experienced in the height and aftermath of the storm. He gave vivid details of not being able to evacuate. There was no room for him and he had to survive for five days before being rescued only to be dropped off on the I-10 bridge overnight. He details his move to Houston, Dallas and back to Houston where he is living with his older brother. Through it all BG has been through much in his young life. BG learns the hard way a lesson that was not taught in any school -- the lesson of survival. There is another thing he learned that he will never forget is that you need to have a lot of love, hope and faith. BG has found them all.
