The materials in this collection relate to artists who were represented by Betty Moody between 1975 and 2015. Collection materials include correspondence, price sheets, invoices, loan agreements, exhibition catalogs and invitations, mailing lists, artist biographies, clippings, and magazine articles. Materials also include exhibition and art object photography including prints, negatives, film transparencies, slides, audiocasettes, and VHS tapes. The collections are arranged into three series: Artists' Files, Moody Gallery Photographs, Awards, and Publicity, and Unidentified Exhibitions. In their entirety, the Betty Moody Gallery Records offer insight into the early Houston gallery scene and well-known, mid-twentieth century Texas artists, many of whom now have work in national museums.
