The Dance program series documents the history of the UH School of Dance program from 1980-2022, with the bulk of materials occuring from 1998-2022' the years in which Karen Stokes was Director of the program. Materials in the series include class offerings, schedules, curricula, course development, strategic plans, vison statements, faculty and board meeting agendas, external reviews, budgets, brochures, scholarships and correspondence. The series materials also include the Karen Stokes Distance Teaching Award 2003, Center for Choreography information, MFA plans, program reports and schedules, scholarship and funding information, University Dance Theater News 2000-2003, production notes, Student Activities Funding Board information, Dance Bridge Houston information, dance publications, programs, photographs, negatives, CDs, and VHS tapes of dance performances from 2000, 2003, and 2004. This collection also includes Tommy Tune correspondence dated 1963-1985. The Dance series was provided by Karen Stokes, Director of the UH Dance Program from September 1998-December 2022.
