An oversized scrapbook of clippings, newsletters, photographs, correspondence, and other printed materials about Pecan Acres Ranch; the oil and cattle industries in the Greater Houston area; pecan and clover farming at the ranch; the Houston Farm & Ranch Club and its role in establishing an agriculture department at University of Houston; and the Houston Fat Stock Show (now the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo).

The scrapbook was compiled by Vernon W. Frost, Sr., who purchased Pecan Acres in 1946 and also served as president of the Houston Farm & Ranch Club. The scrapbook also contains biographical data about Frost, his wife Inza Francis Sherar Frost, and her twin sister Inez Sherar Detering.
