Writings, dated from 1973-2003, fall into two categories: works written by Michels - primarily movie scripts - and books and articles published by others. Ambitious to see his ideas realized as motion pictures in Hollywood, he began in 1978 with scripts for "Brainwave," based on the Dolphin Embassy idea (written by Tony Morphett, a professional screenwriter). After a move to Los Angeles in 1981, Michels wrote other scripts: Zero 88, The Humans, Bluestar, and Holywood Zoo - almost all in the science fiction genre. This sub-series consists of 5 boxes of bound and unbound movie scripts and notes. Two other boxes contain books and magazines with articles about Michels and his work.
