Scope and Contents The James V. Allred Collection consists of over 200 boxes of materials dating from 1853 to 1970, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1921 to 1959. The papers consist in large part of letters received by Allred, and of carbon copies of his replies. This collection contains eighty-eight vintage postcards collected by E. Virginia Barnett. The collection includes materials from Arkansas, California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, and Washington D.C. Some items are booklets containing several views of a particular event or locale. The collection is organized by state, and then further subdivided by city.

Content Description The Lois Brockman Papers contains her correspondence, class notes, notebooks, and assignments from her time as a student in high school and at Friends University.
