This collection contains records of Poetry & Prose, a reading series presented by the University of Houston Libraries and the University of Houston Creative Writing Program. The series features UH faculty, students, alumni as well as other writers. Materials in this collection include publicity, correspondence, and authorization forms related to planning and promoting the events, as well as phtoographs, scrapsbooks, and press coverage documenting them.

In addition to paper records, this collection also contains digital archival materials, including thank you notes, biographical materials, promotional materials, fliers (both posted and working versions), bookmarks, and MS Word documents featuring biographical introductory notes for speakers. These can be accessed in the Special Collections Reading Room by advance request. These materials may require up to one week to access.
