This collection consists of audiovisual, data, and paper materials. The University of Houston's Division of Marketing and Communications deposited materials in 2015 and 2021.

The audiovisual component of this collection consists of about 400 items, around half of which are formatted as Betacam videotapes. The rest of the audiovisual material includes VHS videotapes, DVCAM videotapes, 1/4" open reel audio tapes, 1" open reel audiotapes, compact audio cassettes, and Digital Audio Tape (DAT) cassettes. Within the collection, the materials are stored and organized firstly by format, then by series or rough topic, with items located near others of similar origin, subject, or genre. The collection includes content from a variety of sources, from internal University productions to outside commissions for the university and some commercial productions. Video content ranges in date from 1994 to 2003 (years when these material formats were common and standard), while audio content includes dates ranging from 1986 to 2005.

In addition to these audiovisual items, this collection also includes data Compact Disks, Zip drive floppy disks, photographs, and paper records. Physical-format data content ranges in date from 2000 to 2003, while printed content ranges from 1996 to 2012. These materials remain unprocessed.
