Historical Information

The radio program Queer Music Heritage, hosted by JD Doyle, was broadcast on Houston’s Pacifica radio station, KPFT from January 2000 until March 2015. In addition to the radio program, a website accompanied the show, documenting the history of musical artists who span LGBTQ communities and their work. The recordings were saved to compact disc by the show's creator and host, JD Doyle, of the JD Doyle Archives (http://www.jddoylearchives.org). Doyle is a community archivist and historian who has made extensive contributions to the documentation of Houston’s LGBT history.
