Brief Biographical Note
Native Houstonian Dick Wray was a visual artist who was awarded the Ford Foundation Purchase Prize in 1962 and was the guest artist at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles in 1964. His solo shows included the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, the Station Museum, and others. He was the Houston Art League's Texas Artist of the Year in 2000. Wray passed away in 2011.
