Biographical Note
Addie Tsai, a “queer nonbinary artist and writer of color” from Houston, Texas, is a professor of creative writing at William & Mary in Richmond, Virginia. They earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Warren Wilson College and a PhD in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. Tsai also attended the University of Houston, which she credits as the place where she started writing. Along with their poetry, fiction, and non-fiction works, Tsai is the author of the queer Asian young adult novel Dear Twin and of Unwieldy Creatures, a queer, nonbinary, biracial retelling of Frankenstein. Tsai is also the Founding Editor and Editor in Chief of just femme & dandy, a literary and arts digital publication that intersects LGBTQIA+ reflections with fashion.
