Biographical / Historical

The Center for Public History (CPH) at the University of Houston was established in 1984 and offers a master's and a minor in Public History. Their mission is to ”create collaborative, investigative projects with university and community partners to generate both local and global historical research.“ Some of their major research projects include producing the biannual Houston History magazine, The Oral History of Houston, the CPH Lecture Series, and the Gulf Coast Food Project.
