Spring seminars began two years after the initiation of the Women's Fund, and became the spring counterpart of the Fall Benefit Luncheon. In 1992 friends of Wendy Haskell Meyer offered an endowment to support the annual spring seminar in her honor. Wendy Haskell Meyer had been an active member of the Women's Fund and wrote the first English edition of the The Primer on Women's Health. She died in 1987, and her obituaries are included in this subseries.
