Caption on front, attached card: *Albert Harold Rooks, was born in Colton, Washington on December 29, 1891. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was commissioned Ensign on June 5, 1914. Captain Rooks assumed command of the USS Houston, flagship of the Asiatic Fleet, on August 28, 1941. Six months later, to the day, Captain Rooks was killed in action during Houston's last battle. Posthumously, Captain Albert Harold Rooks, USN was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the...
