This collection, dated approximately 1940s-2010s, was created from alumni donations of materials that document UH history and was originally housed at the Sam P. Douglass Library at the UH Alumni Center. The approximately 6 linear feet of photographs, programs, serials, costumes, textiles, and ephemera that document UH alumni events, Frontier Fiesta, homecoming, sports, reunions, commencement, and other UH events. Does not include administrative records of the Alumni Association.

The Robert D. Jacobus Research Notes collection consists of 12 legal pads of notes used for research for his book Houston Cougars in the 1960s: Death Threats, the Veer Offense, and the Game of the Century. The notebooks are arranged by Jacobus's original numbering system and primarily contain notes from interviews with notable figures in UH sports conducted between 2007 and 2013.
The Mexican American Alumni Association Records consists of administrative files, financial records, minutes, and correspondence dating from 1987 to 1997. Materials are organized chronologically at the folder level.

Included in this collection are drafts of the book, congratulatory letters, proclamation, and correspondence and ephemera relating to the "Celebrating 75 Years" campaign at the University. The Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists Records consist of consists of a variety of administrative files for the University of Houston chapter. Many of the papers are meeting notes and agendas. Materials are arranged thematically at the folder level without series.
