Content Description

This collection contains materials documenting Staley’s artistic production, including sketch books, exhibit catalogues and other exhibit documentation, clippings, and photographs. It also includes family photographs, and a custom pair of cowboy boots made for Mr. Staley in Mexico.

Andy Warhol Photographs

Scope and Contents This collection consists of 149 photographs, 99 Polaroids, and 50 black-and-white silver gelatin prints, created between 1975 and 1985. Some of the photos are formal portraits, others are candid shots, and a few are still lifes. The photographs include images of Warhol's friends such as Jon Gould, artists such as Jamie Wyeth, and celebrities such as Princess Caroline of Monaco.Most of the photographs are matted for exhibition, but some are housed in sleeves in folders. The papers of the Women in Visual and Literary Arts (WIVLA) consist of meeting minutes, fliers about events, and newsletters. All material dates from 1994 to 2011. The collection arrived in the archives in excellent order, arranged neatly into newsletters and meeting minutes, which were filed and arranged chronologically. The collection has been broken into five series: Administration, Publications, Events, Multimedia, and Various Materials.
