The majority of the materials included in the collection revolve around the governance and operation of the organization with a large series being dedicated to the mentoring program. This collection contains legal documents, advertisements, correspondence, and maps from various Texas counties dating from 1818 to 1907. Deeds and tax receipts make up a signififcant portion of the collection. Counties represented include Angelina, Cherokee, Tyler, Nacogdoches, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Harris. Documents from the Republic of Texas are also included.

Scope and Contents The University of Houston Women's Association (UHWA) Records contain records of the organization from its founding in 1962 through 1994.
