Archives and Finding Aids

The Joe C. Aker Architecture Photographic Records consist of the photographic archives of Joe C. Aker, a noted professional photographer who specializes in the photography of architecture and interiors. The records include film negatives, transparencies, and prints.

This collection contains photographs from various projects across Fran Brennan's career. Photographic prints, transparency and negative film in various formats, Polaroid prints, and samples of published projects from books and magazines.

A resume; correspondence; a scrapbook containing clippings, exhibition catalogs and announcements, letters, and memorabilia, 1960-1965; awards and certificates; exhibition catalogs; Christmas cards and cards designed by Gantz; photographs of works of art; and printed material concerning painting classes taught by Gantz.

This collection consists of prints acquired by University of Houston Libraries Special Collections over the course of the department's existence. As available, description of each print includes title, artist, date, donor or provenance, and whether they are part of a larger work. Prints with little to no contextual information include a brief description of the image.

The Gary Zvonkovic Architecture Photographic Records consist of business records of Gary Zvonkovic and includes film negatives, transparencies, and prints, as well as books and some project files.
