Collection of 43 geochemical data maps from locations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Kentucky, and Israel between 1944 and 1975, with most maps from the 1940s to 1960s. Within the collection are maps for methane, ethane and heavier hydrocarbons, pentane, soil gas, sand percent, ethane and propane and butane, and total hydrocarbons.
The collection is a result of integrating several items from Manuscripts A-Z into one artificial collection to improve organization and facilitate greater access. The collection contains correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and autographs belonging to various American and British literary figures from the 19th and 20th century (with one exception from 1634). The collection is arranged alphabetically by literary figure or, where author names are not available, title of piece.
This collection consists of prints acquired by University of Houston Libraries Special Collections over the course of the department's existence. As available, description of each print includes title, artist, date, donor or provenance, and whether they are part of a larger work. Prints with little to no contextual information include a brief description of the image.
The documents in this collection have been identified as forgeries and were exhibited at a Forgery Conference held at the University of Houston Libraries in 1989.
