Scope and Contents

This collection contains five series: Correspondence, Captain Albert H. Rooks Honors, Research Files, Photographs, and Memorabilia. Material includes correspondence, awards, published articles, newspapers, clippings, reports, pamphlets and other Cruiser Houston related material. The Correspondence and Research Files series are divided into topical sub-series. Thereafter, the collection is arranged chronologically within each series.

Scope and Contents

The William W. Sherrill Papers consist of awards, photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, financial materials, books, and other materials relevant to Sherrill’s experiences as a Marine, student, entrepreneur, public servant, and teacher. Dating from 1945 to 2016, materials are arranged by function, including awards, autobiographical research materials, correspondence, events and appearances, newspaper clippings, photographs, Houstonians, and subject files.

Scope and Contents

The collection primarily contains announcements, scholarly journal articles, newsletters, and newspaper clippings, the majority pertaining to Dr. Stead's academic contributions as well as her efforts to establish FHPW and GHBER. The material has been arranged into 9 series: Miscellaneous, Degree Requirements, Academic Projects, Training/Workshops, Scholarly Works, Honors and Awards, Accomplishments and Recognition, Organization Affiliations, Community Activism.

Records cover fundraising activities, releases and contracts, insurance, research materials, production notes and logs, film screenings and festivals, photographs, and posters.
